Throwback Thursday April 7th, 2016 Pink Floyd- “Comfortably Numb”

Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” was released on their album The Wall on the 30th of November, 1979. “Comfortably Numb” was released as a single on June 23, 1980; “Hey You” was on the B-Side of  the single. “Comfortably Numb” had a working title of “The Doctor”. This song is eerily calming. The first few lines of lyrics instantly set the mood of the entire song.  The lyrics a just so beautiful written and the hook is so memorable. The guitar solos are just awesome they aren’t overwhelming and out of place as some solos are perfectly tie the knots at the beginning and end of the song. This song is one of the first songs that I would show some one if I wanted to introduce them to Pink Floyd as a band.
